The band
Max and Maxine met in Dickinson, North Dakota while attending Dickinson State University in 2001. At the time, Max was in a heavy metal band called “Fist”. After getting to know each other Maxine would watch him practice and perform shows. They became friends and soon after started dating.
They were married 2004 and lived with Max’s bands “Angry Dave and the James Brother’s” and “Kold Sylo” on a farm near Dickinson while they continued to go to school.
Max bought Maxine her first drum set for Valentine’s Day in 2006. They would jam together and play cover songs, but did not form a band together until 2007. Maxine was in two bands, and Max had been in eleven bands before they merged their first band “Blunder Jam”.
In 2008, after Maxine and Max graduated with their bachelor’s degrees they decided to move to Sequim, Washington. Unfortunately, that meant they had to leave their bands. By 2010 they had formed their second band, “Epic Blunder”.
In 2012, they decided to become a two-piece band due to their busy schedule. It was then “The Maxwell’s” became more than how they signed their holiday cards and started writing their own music.
So far, the couple has been writing, recording their album “XII”, playing shows and loving life being married and rockin’ out.
